A Snowy Day at Home

Church has been canceled due to the snow, so we're relaxing at home right now. Emily is playing Bubble Spinner. In fact, she just cleared all the bubbles for the first time and then more came! Her final score for that game was 606.

We have most of our thank yous done now. We're planning to finish the rest of them up today. I'm also planning to make a CD for my sister's Christmas present. Whatever we end up doing, it will be nice to be warm at home.

We had friends over for the first time last night. I posted some photos on Facebook.

On the topic of photos, we have a photo from last week of some old broccoli cheese soup that was left in the fridge for too long. It looks like a brain!:

We're getting excited for Christmas. We're going to my parents' house for Christmas Eve and then having Emily's parents over for Christmas Day. It will be great fun!

virgin blogger

adam is making me do this. he says it would be good for me to make an appearance on here...i guess so. i'm not very good at writing so this really is out of my comfort zone, just thought you should all know. AND this is my first blog ever!!

so today was another snow day for adam, and i had about a half a day of work. which was nice we got some extra time together:) we are working on our thank yous for the wedding. i've decided it's hard to be grateful on paper, and a lot of them tend to sound the same, but they are genuine so that's what matters.

back to the snow! i want to go play in it and actually be able to use my snow clothes this season. and maybe build a snow man and make snow angels and have a snowball fight...and then have lots of hot chocolate!

k bye

Nose Hairs, Thank Yous, and YouTube

Emily just plucked my nose hairs. The joys of being married. Actually, the joys of being in a relationship (she did this before we were married too). She claims that she does it to help me breathe better, but I think she just likes to see me wince.

This week has been exciting due to the snow. Monday was a snow day and tomorrow will be too! Unfortunately, we don't get paid for those days, but it's still awesome. Hopefully we can finally get our thank you cards out to people this weekend since we'll have so much time to work on them tomorrow. People probably think we're ingrates... but hopefully they don't.

I have been watching this video quite a lot lately and it never gets old!:

Emily likes watching me laugh at it. This next video is pretty fun to watch too. It's just somewhat amusing throughout it, but then the ending is amazing!:

This one is awesome too:

Snow

I don't want to dictate. You should erase that... don't type that!! *laughs* You are such a punk! *yawns* *laughs* Hmm-mmm! You start and then we can write it together.

OK, apparently Emily doesn't want to dictate, so it looks like I'll be writing this again. It's been over a month since we got married and so far it's awesome, except our apartment still isn't where we'd like it to be. Well, its physical location is fine, I mean in terms of its organization. It's not that bad, especially after the progress we made on it today, but it's still not done. I would like it to be totally clean for when Emily's parents come over on Christmas. I also want our picture frames to have our pictures in them, as opposed to the stock pictures that come with the frames.

We went to Portland for the zoo lights last night. Even though we bundled up, it was still quite cold, especially on the train ride. We got some good pictures, though. I will put them on Facebook after this. I'm glad we went, and we had fun. I wanted to see primates, but there didn't seem to be any because of construction. Speaking of primates, Emily wants a pygmy marmoset. She loves the one in this video:

And speaking of YouTube, we watched some awesome videos last night. I love this one (but don't think I'm cruel):

Anyway, the main thing we wanted to write about was the snow today. We left church at about 3:00 and had the pleasant surprise of seeing snow falling! The roads were fine, though; it had apparently just barely started snowing. After getting home, we looked outside a little later and saw that the snow was beginning to stick. We took some pictures of that, which was exciting. Then, right before dinner, we looked out the window again and then entire parking lot was white! I haven't seen this much snow in a long time. Emily thinks it might've been two inches. We got some pictures of that, too. We're excited that we got to see snow during our first Christmas season being married.
